clocks:10m:22

clocks:10m:22, originally uploaded by monkey_pushover_tree.

Start: At the back of the cave, just left of Its about 22.
Fabulous chossy roof pumping! Follow the line of ring bolts towards the Harbour Bridge. Either lower off the fixed carabiner (scoring a grade 21), or continue up as for its about 22 (and give yourself a 22).

Yeah I wish I was good enough to climb it, and that you still were allowed to do so! The sudden re-interest in climbing is partly my fault and partly Rob and Amys fault. Rob is a really good climber, even if he says he is rusty. Both of them are forcing me to challenge myself when climbing. I find I'm doing harder more technical routes than when I was climbing with lemming in the UK. With Rob and Amy, its a real challenge. Both of them push you to your limits. They have been both climbing far longer than me, so I'm playing catch-up now.

Is climbfit as technical as the The Castle, I just don't know. I do miss not knowing the exact grade climb that I'm doing (The castle has every route graded and marked). It's also not as big, but boy is it fun. What I really want to do is to be good enough to start climbing outside. The above photo is a classic Sydney route that you are not allowed to climb any more. We got to see it on Christmas day. God it looks awesome! You stare at it and want to just try it. You can see the old chalkmarks which are now ingrained into the rock. It's simply beautiful. Oh well, maybe one day they'll remove the ban on this piece of rock.

Well, boxing day was great fun:

Punch
The best sausages on the planet
Croquet
More food
oh and trampoline fun!

Thanks go out to everyone that helped us through this festive season away from family. It was a very different affair, but was very enjoyable all the same!

It still seems strange to me not being in the UK for Christmas. I still can't get used it and sometimes its feeling a bit bleak here. Then again, friends have helped a lot to get us into the Christmas spirit. Hmm Gingerbread..

SPB Nov Competition Entry
Subject and Technical: Secret/Obsession + Light/Exposure

Somehow, I managed to win this months entry; who knows why as there are some fantastic entries. I was chuffed anyway, and it was another excuse to play with the off camera flash stuff. Had another chance to play with that too last night and found out that one of the remotes only syncs at a really slow speed. As much as I want pocket wizards I can't afford them yet.

More off camera flash work to come.

Lighting setup -

430ex to camera right on a stand set to 1/64 @ 105mm, pointing down to gold reflector so bounce was off the wall and onto the shoulder.

swiss:chocolate, originally uploaded by monkey_pushover_tree.

I was supported a customer and to cut a long story short, the customer said I was right again, and that he owed me some Swiss Chocolate... Came in the post today... Swiss chocolate with Hazelnuts.

Plus I thought I'd try some off camera flash work.
Camera Left: remote Flash at 80mm 1/64 about 0.70m from chocolate. Head at 20 deg angle from the horizontal, flash body resting on table.

Camera Right: Gold reflector to get the back of the chocolate
Camera: 1/200 F5.6 100iso

Sometimes you just need to get out with friends and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere. It was all good even if we lost all our credits.

Fallen graves at Rookwood. There are over 1million bodies burried there. Some of the gaves are overrun, others fresh... Some graves date back before 1820 something.
